Gordon Bechtel, Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Gordon Bechtel has over sixteen years of direct experience with digital television (DTV) technologies in addition to thirty-two years of general engineering experience. His expertise has evolved from the architecture, development and deployment of large-scale networks and digital video systems into a keen ability to architect and manage large software development and integration projects.

Gordon is the Chief Technical Officer of Triple Play Integration. As CTO, he is responsible for Triple Play Integration’s overall technical health. As part of this role, he contributes extensively to the technical aspects of customer proposals and deliverables. He works to insure that Triple Play Integration’s customers receive products and services of high technical quality.

Gordon is a wide-ranging technical individual with an eye for technology and an ear for the customer. His in-depth technical knowledge of DTV, large-scale systems and hardware/software development coupled with his ability to express complex technical concepts in understandable ways, enable him to formulate and deliver solid customer solutions.

Prior to joining Triple Play Integration, Gordon was CTO at Spyglass Integration and Director of Architecture at Acadia Application Integration Center. Gordon was also the CTO at Stout Technologies, a company he co-founded in 1996 to provide consulting to the fledgling Digital TV marketplace. Prior to that he worked as a systems engineer in the digital video products group at AT&T Bell Labs, where he helped define advanced digital communication protocols for Hybrid Fiber-Coax networks and defined high-end digital set top boxes. He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Gordon holds two US patents.
